If you want a pay rise, good health, good personal and work relationships and long life then go on a holiday! Yes, you read it right – go on a holiday.

Taking a break will lower your stress levels and make you feel more refreshed than ever before.

Research has shown when workers or employees take more holiday time they constantly have better performances at work and receive better scores. This boost is nearly 10%. Workers or employees who take time off for a vacation are happier and more satisfied with their work. They even stick around long term in the job.

When you discover new things or do something more adventurous, your brain rewards you by giving you a nice little blast of dopamine, which makes you feel good about yourself. When you go on holidays try new activities such as hiking, snorkelling, snowboarding, and mountain climbing. Undertaking any new activity that is outside your normal routine will push you outside of your comfort zone.
