Ariana Grande cancels pre-show activities on the European Leg of the Sweetener World Tour due to mental health concerns. BY BRITTNEY TOLHURST.
American pop sensation Ariana Grande has been having major success on her Sweetener World Tour. She performed 72 shows in North America starting in Albany, New York in March, showcasing both of her most recent albums, Sweetener and Thank u, Next along with a few older songs from her previous albums. Ariana started her European leg of the tour in London in August and is expected to do 30 shows in 20 European cities by the end of 2019.
On August 30 Grande performed in Antwerp, Belgium. According to fans the concert was a disaster. There were reports of people stealing tour merchandise and security being rude to fans. The fans claimed the event was disorganised, with general admission ticket holders sneaking into the pit seats. It got so chaotic for Grande that she ended up cancelling pre-show activities with her fans for the rest of the European leg due to the multiple panic attacks she had experienced pre-show in Belgium and on stage.
The star spoke out about the situation via stories on her Instagram account, saying that she had been giving it all she has and was trying to push through as hard as she could to mask her anxiety. She felt as if it would be better to cancel the pre-show activities to give herself some time to think and calm her nerves before her performances.
There are also rumors floating around that fans are encouraging Grande to cancel the rest of the European leg and second part of her North American tour so she can rest. Fans think that she is overworking herself and feel that it is best for her to take the rest of the year and to come back when she feels is best.

Thankfully, the Arianators are very forgiving and understand what she has been through during the last three and a half years dealing with mental health problems. Grande sent refunds and apologies to all fans that bought VIP packages for the European shows.
